Technology Foundation and Infrastructure

I recently had an attorney contact me who ran out of space in their email account.  Simple situation at one level: increase the mailbox size, or reduce the number and size of the items in the mail account.  

However, a lot rests on the "or" clause in the sentence above. The easy way is to just keep increasing storage size according to individual user perceived needs and requirements.  The more difficult way is to look at the organization's storage policy and procedures to see how much redundancy exists: for instance how many copies of a routine attachment exists in their digital system.  How many folders exists with the same client name on it in different places.
